Partner Introduction: Stockland
One of the key enablers of Spacecubed is partnerships.
Building strong partnerships with organisations around Perth where they can contribute to supporting Entrepreneurs, Change-makers and Innovators is core to the purpose Spacecubed.
Stockland is one of our primary partners and we have been working with them on this project for almost 12 months. They have worked with us in crossing a number of the hurdles and continue to work with us through the design.
When we talk about our corporate partners people usually ask why?…why is this company getting involved? what do they get out of it?
These are fair questions and this model is built on the fact that they do get something out of it, something of real value.
- It is a move from giving to charity to partnering with a Not for Profit (SiiWA) to develop a innovative new way to support change-makers.
- It provides volunteering opportunities to their staff who would like to volunteer into social enterprises that startup in the space.
- Once startups become too big/successful for Spacecubed Stockland has access to both Retail and Commercial space around Perth that they can be moved into and continue to grow.
These are new and interesting ways of applying a good Corporate Social Responsibility program and we believe will be a shining example of what organisations can do to create real change at grass root levels.
