Perth Sustainability Jam 2012
Perth Sustainability Jam is coming up in November and will see creative and passionate people meet, form teams and get to work in a global, face to face event, a Jam. Jamming is a co-created experience that connects like minded people from all backgrounds and converts the way they perceive challenges and generate solutions. Participants will learn to use design principles and multi-disciplinary expertise to develop ideas through to prototypes.
Perth Sustainability Jam
Date : Friday – Sunday, November 2 – 4 2012
Venue : Engineering Pavilion (Building 215) in Curtin University
Tickets : Professional Jammers $35

The Jam is run worldwide over the same weekend, and Jammers around the globe will have the chance to connect to talk about how they are working in different ways on different answers to the same challenge. They will have the opportunity to share problems and offer advice and insights to one another throughout the weekend. On Sunday at 3pm, all Jammers will publish their results to the world.
The event covers the broadest definition of ‘sustainability’ as ‘liveable futures’ where solutions today contribute to long term viability across interrelated aspects of our lives. Although sustainability is the theme of the weekend, the objective is to learn through experience.
There are two ways to take part in the Jam, either as a full participant or as a mentor. Participants have the chance to co-create an experience with bright minds from diverse professional backgrounds and identify a real problem and prototype a solution. Mentors will be able to share their insights to help Jammers learn and do.
Email mentors@perthjam.org and the team will contact you about involvement.
