Perths 11th Pecha Kucha Night – Sunday November 4th
Pecha Kucha night is an event for young designers to meet, network and show their work in public through a simple presentation idea of 20 images x 20 seconds. It is a format that makes a presentation concise and keeps presenters moving at a rapid pace. Pecha Kucha draws its name from the Japanese term for the sound of ‘chit chat’ and was originally devised in Tokyo in February 2003, but is now held in over 500 countries world wide.
Pecha Kucha is coming to Perth for its 11th installment as part of Open House Perth, held over the weekend of November 3-4. The night will showcase the works of some of Perth’s up and coming and established creatives who are doing great work in our city, including Spacecubed’s own Brodie McCulloch. Each presenter will show 20 images, and have 20 seconds per image to talk about it, and in keeping with Pecha Kucha, will not be able to press back on images.
The Pecha Kucha will be held at the Rooftop Cinema in Northbridge, and will be followed by a screening of Fritz Lang’s original masterpiece ‘Metropolis‘. Tickets can be purchased online, and will include entry to Pecha Kucha.
