Who are you and what are you doing?

Hi, I am Leon Delpech. I work with Useful Inc. as the New Horizons Pioneer (Two roles as one; Chief Money Tree Caretaker and Chief Technology Whisperer).

However 90% of my time is spent working on our flagship product, Big Help Mob. Which is a web app with some real world infrastructure that will hopefully make volunteering mainstream.

What do you want to get from this community?

I would love to meet more people that I can help. I love helping people with problems. I would love to be able to talk to more people and help them solve problems. In my heart I am a tinkerer, I want problems to fix.

What can you give to this community?

Even though my time is scarce, if it’s a cool idea I am happy to give some time. So I can give this community my time and experience.

Why did you start your project / organisation?

You’ll have to ask Tim that question.
I personally joined the organization through TEDxPerth. I used to do all Filming and AV for the event.
When I heard Tim talk at our first Un-conference about how Youth Tree (our old name) could help more young people value the things that we all agreed are good I was sold. Which is when I joined Junior Mis-management.

What is your passion?

My vision is: “don’t be a dickhead” it’s my life motto. Everything I do I try to remember to do it in the least dickhead way. I hope that when I die there are less dickheads .

I am passionate about giving people the freedom to choose. Anything that will give more freedom of choice I am happy to get behind and give all my time to making it a success.
